FUCHSIA CUTTING DESCRIPTION
Our fuchsia cuttings are dispatched in 5.5cm net pots and are approx 8/10cm high. They are mostly unstopped. They are dispatched in blister packs and wrapped with cardboard to ensure minimum disturbance.
WHAT TO DO WHEN THEY ARRIVE
Unpack them carefully to ensure cuttings do not fall out or labels do not get mixed up. Pot them into a 9cm pot using a multipurpose compost and pot them just a little higher than they have been grown, this will ensure no rot gets into the stem. Water the cutting in, then continue to water when the cuttings are touch dry on top of the compost. This ensures you wont get a root rot due to over watering. Pinch the tip of the cutting out when its four pairs of leaves high to make the cutting bushier. You may pinch out more as the plant grows but remember each time you pinch out it stops the fuchsia flowering for around six weeks.
When the root of the cutting are touching the outside of the pot they may be put into your desired position (Hanging basket, container or garden)
Please remember fuchsias are happiest outside in a shadier position, they do not enjoy full sunlight
